RHC COST OF SERVICES

Basic Consulting Fee Methods

Consulting services will be set specifically for the job being requested. The scope and content of the work will be clearly defined in a work plan that outlines phases and associated tasks.  Services will be provided after an agreed to and signed contract has been finalized by both parties. Contractual deposit, amount to be negotiated but not more than 50% of total amount, is required when contract is signed. The deposit is considered to be a retainer in good faith that the project will continue and will not be returned should the Client choose to cancel project plans.  The contract will be considered null and void if no project activity has occurred within a one (1) year period; the contract then will have to be re-negotiated. Legal counsel for Rhodes Healthcare Consulting, Inc. will prepare and administer all contractual documents between the parties.

  1. Hourly Rate:  Establishes hourly rate for all consulting staff. This method is used most often when the scope of services and work plan is hard to define. A cap or maximum on hourly charges can be agreed to between both contractual parties. The Client is invoiced for all time and reimbursable expenses associated with the project.

  2. Estimated Fee:  Gives the Client an estimate based on a projected work plan at the project start and also establishes mechanisms for revising the estimate if the scope of service changes during the project. The estimate is equally divided into payment amounts.  The Client is then invoiced for pre-established amount and reimbursable expenses associated with the project.

  3. Fixed Fee:  Requires a clearly defined, detailed scope of services and work plan prior to the beginning of the project. Reimbursable expenses are charged on top of the fixed fee amount.  Additional service fees are imposed if the scope of work changes beyond that defined in the initial work plan. The fixed fee is equally divided into payment amounts. The Client is then invoiced for pre-established amount and reimbursable expenses associated with the project.

Educational Presentations and Fees

For the independent learning experience, teaching activities are organized and carried out in a way that is cost effective and enjoyable. Classes are well-publicized and offered in at least 8 weeks advance. Continuing education credits from an accredited source will be provided, as applicable, with each educational presentation. Each participant will be charged a fee for attendance.

  1. Seminars: Day-long seminars with continuing education credits will be presented by RHC.  Lecture content is researched from many resources and prepared for presentation in such a manner to promote understanding by the audience. Lectures are combined with audience participation, question and answer, visual aids, games, interaction demonstration, and handouts.

  2. Self Study Modules:  Self-study modules are designed to be presented in either written content or computer based instruction.

  3. Facility-based Orientation and Competency-based Education:  Because the employee must demonstrate competency in learning and practice, and because JCAHO requires all employees to be competent in the performance of their jobs, competency based learning systems and criteria based performance standards for job related skills are developed by RHC. These programs are specifically designed for the facility contracting and paying for the service.
